Dating from the 1930's this type of crane of a unique design introduced by Ransomes and Rapier Ltd. to meet the requirements of Wharves, Railway Goods Yards and, in fact, anywhere it was desired to handle mixed goods expeditiously. 
These cranes were exported all over the world.
